Wednesday the 18th March 2009

Lap 1: 21:02:21
Lap 2: 18:33:24

Thursday the 19th March 2009

Fantastic run - flew actually.... exactly the same run to HLE and yet 1 minute and a half faster than last night.

Total: 37:59:50
Lap 1: 20:01:72
Lap 2: 17:57:78

Happy days..!

THE SCHEDULE BEGINS

Right. It is now the 16th March 2009 and according to my 26 week marathon Training Schedule, I need to do the following this week:
Monday the 16th - 3 miles
Wednesday the 18th - 4 miles
Thursday the 19th - 3 miles
Saturday the 21st - 7 miles

MONDAY the 16th MARCH 2009
32:07:68
Lap 1 - to BGR - 16:46:90
Lap 2 - home - 15:20:78

It feels strange cutting back after doing between 54 and 60 minutes in my last few runs but obviously necessary considering my right ham string has been giving me grief. Stretched 3 times during run to try and stop it, massage as well. You are not injured until you are injured. I know my Saturday run was too fast. Slow down Liz. You want to RUN. NO INJURIES.

Looking forward to my 4 miles tomorrow morning...

Almost Ready for THE SCHEDULE

Saturday the 14th March 2009

Long run to ERR, then along Park Road to New Inn Road where I turned up to go back to town. Fantastic run. Feeling light, fast and like 'I am a runner'...

1:00:32
Lap 1 to ERR - 25:32:97 (almost 2 minutes faster than previously - hooray)
Lap 2 to NIR - 11:47:99
Lap 3 home - 23:11:65

What a pleasure! I run because I want to. I want to run, because I do...!

Training Training Training

Thursday the 5th March 2009
41:09:12 up and through town and then along Stoke Park and past fire station. Up Woodbridge Road.

Tired and really not in the mood but it had to be done and always pleased once it is over.

Saturday the 7th March 2009
56:31:43
Along the canal to Godalming. Slow, esay and gentle.

Monday the 9th March 2009
57:25:20
Along the canal again but up to the Surrey Police HQ, public pathway running alongside it, back to Godalming and the roundabout once over the bridge and back.

Enjoyed it greatly, allowed myself to appreciate the hour I had to myself.

Wednesday the 11th March 2009
FANTASTIC SUPERB RUN

1:00:12
Lap 1: 30:40:04
Lap 2: 29:32:95

Invigorating!

What a fantastic run. It seems running in the rain and snow is just my absolute best. I could do without the wind though..

To ERR under bridge, up York and Waterden and then same to end and back.
Total: 58:31:32
Lap 1: 31:46:42
Lap 2: 26:44:90

It is so good not overheating! Very very windy on the way back, almost lost my cap a few times but the rain is always most welcome!

Happy, strong legs and mind! Getting there....

Sunday 1 March 2009
ERR then BG and back down HS
59:48:87
Lap 1 27:10:77
Lap 2 32:38:10

Good run, felt light again, faster (but slowed down on way back because of niggles).
Went down BG to get a longer run in. Legs (quads) tired towards the end, must be from the spinning.

Glad I did it. You have to run to want to run. And I want to run. Feeling FANTASTIC.

Keep looking towards the first Half Liz.
