Monday Bright and Early
So pleased. I did an easy 5km this morning so thus far training on track. Sports physio at lunchtime so I can maximise my training in terms of avoiding injuries. Need to sort this back ache out and get a new set of exercises for the old IT band which I am still having the odd argument with. Time this morning 33:06:71, 17:14:74 out and 15:51:97 back... as one can see I run DOWNHILL on the way home...!
Happy days and let's hope it continues with no injuries.

Getting Going
A great early morning run to the turn off to the A25 and Albury and back again. 1:12:49 for about 12km (will confirm with MapMyRoute), 38:13:11 out and 34:36:07 back although that was not exactly half way. Coming back down Epsom Rd, my IT band niggled a bit but it actually allowed me to run down the whole of the High Street with no problems. Really pleased. Felt good and light again. Maybe it helps to barely eat the day before...! Will remember that for any future races...
Some stretching when I got back and ice on the knee. This always helps for the next run.

Good and Light
Woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6 this morning, really wanting to go for a run. What a good one, hooray, no 'above the right knee' pain, no IT band niggles (although it was tight so stopped twice to stretch it), felt lighter than the 'lead' feelings I hve had in the last two weeks. 51:08:66 for about 8km. 26:43:31 out and 24:25:35 back, usual route top roundabout...
Then walked up Pewley Hill to school to get the boys to school and so 'cross training' exercise for the MdS 2011 has begun. Running, pushing the pram up the hill is a workout in itself and spinning. Fabulous stuff.
All in all a great day.

No Nonsense Schedule
I have a 26 week marathon schedule all planned, mapped out and I have started - with hundreds and millions of thanks to the love of my life.
Monday: 5km run completed in 31:48:48 (feeble but done...!). Heavy plodding, back ache and IT band started niggling towards the end. I feel like an old bag of bones BUT I have NO DOUBT in 6 weeks time I will be running like the wind..! I did it, that is what is important right now.
Pleased.
